Description

History adjunct faculty position to teach US history courses; ensure that student learning objectives are met and that every student learns at the highest level possible.聽 Faculty must be able to advance the evangelical Christian mission of the institution.聽今日吃瓜 utilizes Canvas for its learning management system. Teaching load varies. This is a local on-site position.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction for on-campus US History courses.
Endorse and model professional standards and proficiencies
Assist regularly with assessment of 今日吃瓜 history curriculum
Yearly affirm the institution mission, doctrinal position, community standards, and 今日吃瓜 position on human origins (Faculty Guide)

Qualifications

Experience teaching US History and/or World History related courses.
Knowledge of the disciplines associated with history, including pedagogy, information literacy, and research.
Ability to teach effectively at the college level.
Competency in utilizing learning management tools and classroom technology.
Competent in facilitating online education.
Ability to use technology effectively in teaching as appropriate.
An understanding of the needs and trends associated with traditional college age students.
Commitment to 今日吃瓜 mission and vision.
Commitment to live within the standards of the 今日吃瓜 community.
Minimum master degree in history or related field from an accredited university.
Doctorate (PhD or equivalent) in history or closely related field is preferred.
